This beauty is one of several elegant antique walking stick/umbrella/parasols that we now have in our store. With this particular item, the photos almost cannot do justice to the rolled gold featured in the handle; in between the two sections of ornate gold plate is a demure Mother of Pearl spindle that adds to the uniqueness of this piece. Most of these pieces, including this one, date back to the turn of the 20th century. The stem has a scripted "New Era" marking.
The umbrella is an original piece from the 1890s and is perfect for adults male or female. The ornate handle features a scripted "B" as shown in the photos. Its unique design and outstanding quality make it a must-have for any umbrella collector. The umbrella's country/region of manufacture is New Eras, adding to its mystery and charm. Should you choose to use it as a parasol, the fabric could be added back to the ribs.
The umbrella opens just fine and is longer than the standard, as it is 38" in length.
