An original 1968 press photo of the hole where heiress Barbara Jane Mackle was buried for three days by kidnappers in a pine forest near Duluth Georgia.  She was 20 years old. The kidnappers placed her in a fiberglass-reinforced box supplied with an air pump, two pipes for air, a battery-powered lamp, water laced with sedatives, and food.
