This is a great thriller. The story of a truck driver going across the highways of Australia, thinks he may have witnessed a serial killer, who it now seems to be traveling the same highway. It's strange that the two leads (Stacy Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis) are both American, but really this doesn't matter, since their performances are great and your attention is with the story anyway. You can see where some modern thrillers get there inspiration from.The build up of tension is really powerful, and even if it seems simplistic in some ways, the story has enough twists and turns to be interesting throughout. It is a classic movie for a good reason, and it deserves to be seen by a much larger audience

In Australia, Pat Quid is a semi-trailer driver. During his trips he often picks up hitchhikers. One of his favorite pastimes is to play games during the trip (like imagining the daily lives of the people he meets). Pamela is a hitchhiker that he takes into his truck.
