■About Heko Obi

A soft, wide obi sewn without a core is called a "heko obi."

It is said to have originated as an obi worn by Satsuma heikos on a daily basis, and became widely used after the Meiji Restoration.

Heko obi is easy to put on and can be quickly fixed if it becomes undone, so it was often used for children, but adult heko obi that are perfect for yukata and can be tied in a gorgeous and adorable way have also been made.

Heko obi is light and soft without constricting the body, so it is very comfortable and easy to move in even when worn for a long time, making it perfect for festivals and fireworks displays!

Heko obi has just the right amount of firmness and softness, so it is very easy to tie!
