Cars: Mater-National Championship for the Nintendo DS continues the lighthearted racing introduced in the first Cars video game on the handheld.

The title features 17 hazard-filled tracks in and around Radiator Springs, and a total of 15 playable vehicles.

Lightning McQueen has entered the first annual Mater-National Race Festival along with such familiar characters as Emma, Otto, Sheriff, Gudmund, Doc, Fillmore, Ramone, Flo, and Sarge.

Game types include the single-player Story Mode, an arcade-style Challenge Mode, and a wireless Multiplayer Mode supporting up to four racers.

By achieving certain milestones, players can unlock different skins as well as an assortment of hidden features.
