The TIME-SERT® M12 x 1.5 Thread Repair Kit provides a permanent, professional solution for restoring damaged or stripped metric threads. Using solid bushing inserts with a positive flange design, this system delivers strength comparable to the original thread while preventing insert movement under load, vibration, or heat. Ideal for automotive, engineering, and industrial repairs.
TIME-SERT® inserts are solid bushings, not wire coils, providing full load-bearing strength and long-term durability.
Integrated top flange ensures precise seating and prevents the insert from winding down into the repaired hole.
During installation, the bottom internal threads are cold-rolled to expand the external threads into the base material, permanently locking the insert in place.
Repairs are equivalent to original threads in most applications, offering excellent resistance to stress and vibration.
Supplied with all required tools for accurate drilling, counterboring, tapping and insert installation.
Tear-out strength depends on material type, wall thickness and edge distance; therefore no universal value can be specified. Laboratory testing has shown TIME-SERT® repairs to be equivalent to original threads in most applications. Always follow correct installation procedures and use suitable cutting lubricant during tapping.
