Description: An interesting and attractive, original, antique, strip road map from the 1720 edition of John Owen & Emanuel Bowen's 'Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd'.

The sheet of hand-laid paper is printed on one side. The copper-engraved strip maps (with accompanying information about the locations along the route and embellishments such as coats of arms) is page 273 of 'Britannia Depicta'. They have significant detail of topography and place names, Settlements along the route include Whitby and Scarborough.

Condition: Very good condition. Light age toning. Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
