To maintain the quality of your mug, we recommend washing it as soon as possible after use.  Dishwasher safe, or handwash.

Stain Removal

Bone china can pick up coffee/tea stains after frequent use.  To help keep your mug bright white, wash quickly after use.  If you do get staining, try soaking in a mild detergent for an hour.  You can also try rubbing gently with a baking soda paste or vinegar/water mixture.

Can I use boiling water?

When bone china experiences sudden extreme changes in temperature, it can crack or break.  To avoid this, avoid pouring boiling water directly into your mug.  Or, prepare the mug by first filling with warm tap water to heat the cup, pour most of it out, then make your tea.  Similarly, don't put it in the freezer.  Basically, don't do anything to your bone china mug that your grandma wouldn't do with her bone china teacups!
