The C-130 J “Super Hercules” is the latest upgrade of the famous 4 engine transport aircraft, it
was introduced 1999 in military service.
It is fitted with new RR turboprop engines and 6 bladed scimitar propellers which give the “J”
model improved performance compared to the previous “E/H” models:
+ 40% range, + 21% higher max.speed, 41% shorter take off distance
The C-130 is the most widespread military transport plane worldwide.
