 First Paperback Edition

This second volume of poems by L.E. Sissman "is an elaboration and an advance. Dominated by the very long, thirty-two-part poem, 'A War Requiem,' it deals with city and country life, the present tainted by the past, the past tinted by the present.  Wise, delightful and sometimes melancholy, it reveals the enigmatic sadness concealed beneath the most familiar surfaces of life" [from the back cover].

Book is in Near Fine Condition: pages bright, clean, tight, and unmarked; very slight top outside page edge spotting.   Nice copy.
