We are proud to introduce the new Sound of China carved-out guzheng. This beautiful instrument is custom-designed by Sound of China Guzheng Music, with all materials carefully selected by professionals. The sound body is carved from a single piece of paulownia wood and framed with Golden-Thread Nanmu wood, featuring the "Enchanted Rose" pattern carved using traditional techniques. The result is a rich, warm, mellow sound with a hint of sweetness.
The carved-out sound body provides full volume with a focused, clean sound. The ebony bridges are specifically designed for this guzheng and it is equipped with Lianqing concert B strings for professional playing.
This guzheng comes with a set of finger picks and adhesive tape, ebony bridge set, tuning wrench, 2-piece stands, soft bag, and spare 1-7 strings. We provide easy-to-follow setup instructions, and free support is available over the phone or internet for setup and playing.

Guzheng Size Reference:
Under 100 cm (<40") – Toy/Replica
Instruments under 100 cm are generally not playable. They produce very little volume, the strings sound flat, and the spacing is too narrow for most fingers. These are best considered novelty items rather than functional instruments.
100–110 cm (40–43") – Mini Guzheng
Mini guzhengs are designed for anyone needing a compact, portable instrument. Modern mini guzhengs usually feature standard string spacing, making them comfortable to play. While the bass may be less full than a standard-size guzheng, some high-quality mini models produce a surprisingly rich and pleasant tone. Their small size makes them easy to carry, ideal for travel or practice in limited spaces.
120–155 cm (47–61") – Travel Guzheng
Travel-size guzhengs are compact and convenient for portability. Sound quality varies widely between makers: a high-quality model can approach the tone of a standard-size guzheng, while a lower-quality one may resemble a toy guzheng.
160 cm+ (>61") – Standard Guzheng
This is the full standard size for guzhengs. Strings have the proper length for stable pitch, and spacing is suitable for adult fingers. Sound quality varies depending on the model and maker, but all standard guzhengs provide the traditional rich and balanced tone expected from the instrument.
