This table cover was handmade in the Mondano filet net style of

Presenting a lovely vintage circa 1900's elaborate Mondano knotted filet net mesh lace tablecloth in a lovely scroll and geometric pattern. Entirely hand knotted the patterns have been over darned with the same cotton yarn.  Intricate designs created by embroidering and needle weaving over the square-knotted background gridwork of knotted mesh. The edge is scalloped and all done in a light ecru thread.

Raised petals are worked over the darned cloth work of filet lace by needle weaving the wheatears. some call it Cluny Filet

In good condition for its age.  I have laundered this tablecloth. No stains, no repairs and lace is strong and sturdy.
