Beautiful condition!
These are original fixtures by Lincoln from the early 1900's.
They have been rewired, new sockets added and they have been tested and are working well and ready to hang.
Made of cast iron with an antique copper painted finish.
No chips or cracks in the fixtures.
They are stamped on the backs "1332".
The candle covers have small marks and hairline cracks in the finish here and there, but nothing very noticeable when in use (see closeups).
If the sconces are hung below eye level, the wiring between the bottom of the two candles on each sconce can be seen. So, we suggest hanging them slightly higher than eye level. :)
The switches are working well.
Each fixture uses 2 standard-base light bulbs up to 40 watts, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like.
The light bulbs and wall mount screws are not included.
This beautiful antique set is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan - see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer:
The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful set was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #23). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings. Many thanks to Bob's wife, Luce, for contacting us and allowing us to share his collection with the world! :)
