Installation and maintenance methods

1. Turn off the power, remove the protective cover, loosen the assembly bolts of the motor, and move the motor to make the belt loose enough. The belt can be removed without throwing it away. Do not pry the belt off.
2. Remove the old belt and check for abnormal wear. Excessive wear may indicate a problem with the design or maintenance of the transmission.
3. Choose the appropriate belt replacement;
4. To clean the belt and pulley, you should wipe it with a rag dipped in a little non-volatile liquid. It is not advisable to soak the belt in detergent or use detergent to scrub the belt. Belts must be kept dry before installation and use.
5. Check the pulley for abnormal wear or cracks. If the wear is excessive, the pulley must be replaced;
6. Check whether the pulley is straight and symmetrical. The linear symmetry of the pulleys is crucial to the operation of the conveyor belt, especially the synchronous belt drive.
7. Check the remaining transmission components. Such as the symmetry of bearings and bushings, durability and lubrication conditions, etc.
8. Install the new belt on the pulley. Never pry or use excessive force.
9. Tighten the center distance of the transmission device until the belt tension is measured by the tension measuring instrument as appropriate. Turn the driving wheel several times by hand and retest the tension.
10. Tighten the assembly bolts of the motor and correct the torque. Any change in the center distance of the transmission device during operation will cause poor belt performance.
Therefore, it is important to ensure that all rotating device parts are tightened.
11. Start the device and observe the belt performance to see if there is any abnormal vibration and listen carefully for any abnormal noise. It is best to turn off the machine and check the condition of the bearings and motor; if it feels too hot to the touch, the belt may be too tight, the bearings may be asymmetrical, or the lubrication is incorrect.
