About the Gasket
The gasket material we recommend is a high-performance grade of compressed non-asbestos fibre. The gasket is produced from a specialised combination of high quality ingredients. These include mineral fibre and DuPont Kevlar Aramid Fibre. These are then bound with a NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) binder which gives it excellent flexibility, compressibility and recovery characteristics. All reputable suppliers should be able to give you the same level of detail about the gasket they are selling.
Other characteristics include:
-Very good compatibility with oils, hydrocarbons, lubricants, fuels, water and steam.
-Withstands temperatures up to 340°C with good pressure resistance.
