Zuni Fetish Necklace

30” Long

15 Fetishes carved from Bovine bone

7 pairs plus one larger Naja (?)

That center corn maiden is about 2 ½” Tall.

The others are all 1”, give or take 1/8”.  the owls and turtles at the end are about ¾”

Sterling hardware, but strung on monofilament line. 

There is a loose end sticking out of the turtle that I am sure can simply be trimmed.  There is a ½” loop up near the end that pokes out between the turquoise that I have not figured out – so I’ve left it alone

This is not “new”, but a vintage piece.

BTW:  it is 30” and I do not see a way to wear it any shorter
