SHOES LIKE POTTERY are sneakers produced by Moonstar, a long-established shoe manufacturer founded in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1873. The vulcanization process, which can only be produced in a very small number of factories in Japan, involves baking the shoes in a kiln in the final process. The name comes from the resemblance of this manufacturing process to the pottery process.
