From What I have read the First Edition Elvis Presley '77 Commemorative Porcelain Decanter was part of a collection series by the McCormick Distilling Company in Missouri, the decanter or container is made in Japan of porcelain. It is designed to be lifelike, measures approximately 15 inches in height. It features Elvis in a white jumpsuit, standing in front of an amplifier and holding a microphone. It was hand painted. The base reads “Sincerely Elvis '77,” and it even includes a music box that plays “Love Me Tender”. Although it once contained a four-year-old 80-proof straight bourbon whiskey, it no longer has alcohol inside. The decanter comes with a certificate re of Authenticity and other paperwork that talks about their artist Bob Harness a leading Midwest artist behind the design & illustration of not only this decanter, but McCormick's entire ceramic collection since 1968. This listing is not perfect, there are flaws in the painting of it, where you will see black speckles of paint where it shouldn't be any black. And I found flaws of white paint on areas other than the jumpsuit. The left elbow has a flaw of missing paint as well. The box is barely holding, and torn, thank goodness for the styrofoam. I put a bubble wrap bag on the body, and I wrapped the head in a bubble wrap bag as well & taped it to the styrofoam to hopefully protect it. The cork is mostly there, but some is missing so the head fits a little loose. Looks like something had stuck to the Sincerely Elvis '77 at one time. The music box still plays when I tested it. It will still make a good item to add to any Elvis collection. Please look carefully at all photos for this listing is sold as is. Your purchase will help the blind community in our area.
