John Coatsworth has painted full time since 1986. His work ranges from landscapes and cityscapes to portraits and caricatures. His most popular work is in his “bendy” style and he is famous for his views of the River Tyne. orn on Tyneside in 1947, he trained in printing and graphic and worked at the Hancock Museum and at the Newcastle Chronicle & Journal as a visualiser.
