An antique English solid 9 carat gold mourning ring, inset with a strand of finely woven hair, topped with a gold heart engraved 'FF' and applied gold panels spelling out the popular Victorian sentiment, Regard. Engraved to the inner band are two dedications, one reading 'H.F March 22nd 1879' and the other 'H.F April 17th 1883'.

CONDITION: All original and very good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1879. Hallmarked for Chester - date letter illegible..
DIMENSIONS: Heart 7.7 mm wide (1 inch = 25.4 mm).
RING SIZE: Just over Q or 8.25 US (cannot be resized).
WEIGHT: Approx. 2.4 grams.
