Vintage 1930’s Habersham County Georgia Justice of The Peace Embosser Seal Stamp.

This one of a kind and rare find belong to Judge James Hightower Andrews (1859 - 1947). Unsure of exact dates serving as county Justice of the Peace, but was listed in 1940 census as the 1939 judge.

Embosser seal has the name “J H Andrews” removed so that it no longer stamps his name.

Judge Andrews is buried in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Ga. His father was William Capers Andrews that died as POW in Camp Douglas (Chicago, Illinois) in Civil War.
