Hotel Castellana Hilton -- Madrid -- Spain

The first Hilton Hotel in Europe, the Castellana Hilton was opened in 1953, in Madrid, capital of Spain.

As one of the very first international Hotels in Madrid, from the beginning it was the favorite place for Hollywood Stars visiting or working in and around Madrid. International Movie Productions blocked entire floors of the Castellana Hilton Hotel in the golden years.

The Hotel Castellana Hilton became part of the InterContinental chain in 1973, as Hotel InterContinental Madrid,
and it has been refurbished twice in the last decade. Today the InterContinental Madrid is a five star hotel with over 300 rooms.
