Size: approximately 545mm x 445mm (printed area only), margins beyond, blank verso.

Description: An original, antique, copper-plate engraved map of part of central Spain showing the Kingdom of Castile. The very detailed map is printed on hand-laid paper and includes a decorative title cartouche and distance scale.

Cartographer / Engraver: John Senex

Condition: Excellent condition. Light age toning and one or two very minor age spots. Old horizontal fold now flattened out and barely visible. Extended lower margin. Very small 1mm pinprick hole just outside the left and right border of the map, not affecting the printed area. Two small pieces of tape verso from when the map was previously mounted. Please study all the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
