Ken Griffey Sr. is a former professional baseball player who played as an outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). 
Born on April 10, 1950, in Donora, Pennsylvania, Griffey had a distinguished career spanning from 1973 to 1991. 

He is best known for his time with the Cincinnati Reds, where he played from 1973 to 1981 and then returned for a brief stint in 1988. Griffey Sr. was an integral part of the "Big Red Machine," a dominant Reds team in the 1970s that won multiple championships. 

He was known for his solid hitting, base-running skills, and leadership on the field. Griffey Sr. made significant contributions to the success of the Cincinnati Reds and other teams he played for during his MLB career.
