Burke and James Sliding two shot 5x7 back for an 8x10 camera. Replaces the ground glass holder on an 8x10 camera. Gives two 3 1/2 " x 5" verticals on one sheet of 5x7 film. An old portrait studio trick. Made of Mahogany. The upper right corner of the ground glass is cracked but nothing to prevent usage or display. Other than that the grided glass is in good shape. I wouldn't even mess with it. The holder slides easily and has a spring detent to hold it in place. A nice old piece from a quality manufacturer.
