The Space Shuttle Detail Application Set is a unique set of applications designed to help make your spacecraft model more historically accurate. Each shuttle has unique marking arrangements and so you should research the photos online and offline in books to accurately replicate the spacecraft you desire to model. 

The 1/144, 1/100 & 1/72 sets have application elements for the following locations:

• The instrument panel surfaces of the Orbiter Flight Deck. 
• The Intertank Service Access Panel and Gaseous Umbilical Carrier Plate fitting for the External Tank.
• The Main Engine Gimbal Seal Rings for the Aft Bulkhead.
• Orbiter/ET Umbilical Doors and Fittings. 
• Main Engine Close-Out Covers for the openings of the Space Shuttle Main Engines. 
• NASA & ESA MPLM markings, if the modeler chooses to build a “multi-purpose logistics module” using the ESA Spacelab parts of the 1/144 and 1/72 scale Orbiter kits, or the actual MPLM parts provided with the recently re-released 1/100 scale Tamiya Orbiter model.

We also provide small red rubber bands to replicate the “closure cords” used to hold the SSME covers on the engine bells.

The standard Detail Sets are printed on white, self-adhesive photo-grade glossy paper stock.

There is an alternate version in 1/72 scale made with white-background, water-slide decal stock.

These elements must be "trimmed down" using a sharp hobby knife, such as an X-Acto #11 knife blade, so this detail set is recommended only for experienced modelers.

These applications can be seen in the photos shown here, including the MPLM Markings, as used on the 1/100 scale Tamiya kit.

 Remember, these Detail Application Sets are intended for use in building your own Shuttle model project.
