Japanese Hand Painted Lusterware Lotus Bowl Saucer Cherry Blossom Japan 1945/52
- Exquiset Made in Japan Blue Lusterware Lotus Bowl and Underliner, interior bowl orange luster
- Features hand decorated Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) with perhaps a Japanese White Eye Bird depicted
- Simply marked "Made in Japan" a mark used prior to 1952
- Excellent Condition, Like New, no chips, nicks, cracks, fleabites or scratches, wonderful shiny Luster
- Approximate Size Bowl diameter 4 inches and underliner 6 inches
NOTE:
A according to Gotheborg website not all post WW2 Japanese wares had to be marked Made in Occupied Japan, larger pieces had to be, smaller pieces not always. Pieces Marked made in Japan during the immediate post war era are more scarce. Based on this information, I have dated this bowl and underliner to 1945 to 1952.
