Built by Blohm, & Voss, Hamburg, Germany for the Hamburg-American Line as a 54,382 GT ship with dimensions of 907 ft x 100 ft. Quadruple-screw, 24 knots, steam turbines, two masts and three funnels.
Her made voyage was Hamburg-Southampton-Cherbourg-New York May 14, 1914. Seized by the U.S.A. in 1917 and converted to troopship. Renamed LEVIATHAN in 1917. Reconditioned for the United States Lines after the war. The LEVIATHAN began her first sailing as an American passenger ship on July 4, 1923.
Scrapped in 1938.
