Fordham won the game 35-7. In 1941; Fordham's Steve Filipowicz was selected by the Associated Press as a first-team back on the 1941 All-Eastern football team. Guard Larry Sartori was named to the second team. Fordham was ranked no. 6 in the country, and went on to play in the Sugar Bowl against the Missouri Tigers.
