Beautiful Hermès Jige clutch in black Ardennes leather, accented with a light brown box calf leather strap and leather H fastener.  Ardennes leather is also known as Vachette Grainee des Ardennes and is described by Hermes as being one of their most durable leathers, perfect for bags that are used often as it is both water and scratch-resistant.  It has a smooth pebbled texture.  The strap and H fastener have exposed cream stitching on the leather.    It measures 13.5" wide x 10.25" tall x 3.5" deep when fully open.  It is lined with beige canvas.  There are several thin areas of discolouration on the canvas lining by the stitching where the clutch was both glued and stitched at the seams when it was made by Hermes.  This is primarily only visible when you open up the clutch and flatten the seams.  This discolouration is often found with canvas-lined Hermès bags as the fabric is absorbent.  

I purchased the clutch at the Hermès store in South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, Southern California, put it away in my closet and forgot all about it.   The clutch is stamped "HERMÈS PARIS MADE IN FRANCE" in gold leaf on the leather underneath the flap, and bears the X embossed stamp on the inside.  It includes the Hermès orange box and Hermès sleeper dust bag.  The Hermès box is a little damaged on the corners but otherwise very serviceable.  The clutch is in excellent condition, aside from the small areas of discoloration on the canvas lining as mentioned above.

International Shipping - I ship via the most economic and secure method.  The handling fee on your invoice is for international shipping insurance.
