There are no manufacturer markings on this item and I would appreciate any known information relayed about the item.

This hexagon 6 panel jar is not a perfect hex as can be seen in the photos.

Antique Vintage Purple Glass Apothecary Jar & Lid used in General Stores Doctors Office Hospitals and / or finer homes in the early part of the last century.  Candy, Cookies / Cookie, Medical, Dental Supplies and assundries.

Glass that turned purple usually indicates glass produced prior to 1930’s.  There were refinements in glass in the 30’s that tended to leave a yellow cast in the glass.  In later years they were able to get the glass to be clear.  

There are a few casting bubbles in the lid and jar.  But overall the glass is very clean with no scratches.  The lid, I’ve added a rubber 

band, to cushion the glass to glass contact.
