Antique horse harness tree evener.  It is around 36" long.

The metal parts are solid yet, but the wood is dry rotting quite a bit, especially on one side.

This would be great as western or farmhouse decor, or for restoration. 

This item belonged to my grandparents, who used it for farming up until the 1950s in the upper Midwest.
