Pre-owned Men's Ring: Marked VC with circle around "C" Sterling, size 10.25

Pretty ring. It has been resized (see the pictures) There is light scratching on the main stone.. It looks purple and times and then kind of like a tigers eye. Have no clue what it is.. the ring itself has that bronzy antique look to it. It is marked inside Sterling and a V with a C circled.
