About Pierre Jacquemon
Pierre Jacquemon was a French-American contemporary artist, and a key 20th-century representative of the Lyon school of painting.
Jacquemon was born in Lyon and moved to New York's Lower East Side to pursue his artistic career. He had a solo exhibition at Bianchini Gallery in 1963 and exhibited at other New York galleries throughout the 60s and 70s. His largely abstract, atmospheric works have a primordial feel and often contain ancient symbols and simple, yet powerful, shapes.
