Vincenzo Volpi is an Italian master craftsman, who works out of a large farmhouse in Northern Italy where he produces engravings of outstanding quality.  A long time resident of Florence the home of engraving, Volpi’s work may be considered by some as “small” but there is no doubting their outstanding quality and craftsmanship.  The paper size of these engravings is 10” x 10” (25.5cm x 25.5cm) and the actual engraved image (plate) size is 3” x 3” (7.5cm x 7.5cm).  I can think or no other current European artist producing similar dog engravings and in particular his studies of the Italian breeds is outstanding.  If you want something packed full of class and understatement, than Vincenzo is your man!
