The Art Deco, (also called style moderne) movement originated in the 1920s and developed into a major style in western Europe and the United States during the 1930s. Its name was derived from the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, where the style was first introduced/exhibited. Art Deco design represented modernism turned into fashion, and included individually crafted luxury items.  The intention was to create a sleek and anti-traditional elegance that symbolized wealth and sophistication.
This style has been very popular for years, generations actually, and still is today, because of its good looks.  There are many designs from the Deco era; this one is particularly handsome, in my view; it's been a classic for years and is very collectable.  And Art Deco is always in style.

So here's a large, hard to find, beautiful 22 piece set of antique solid brass and crystal glass door hardware from the early 1900's.

This Set includes:
-11 Classic Deco "Skyscraper" design brass door plates @ 5.75" x 1-5/8". Note one has a hole in lieu of a keyhole, for some reason. (?)Most are brass; 4 are brass plated metal
The drop measures 2-1/8" between the center of the knob hole and the center of the round part of the key hole (mortise information).
No dings, dents, unsightly bends etc.  Excellent vintage condition.

-11 Lovely twelve point crystal knobs that everyone loves! (I missed one knob)!
No chips, cracks, etc .  See note below re display knobs.

6 clean spindles and spindle set screws included, of course..

A fabulous set; so ornate and pretty, with a nice aged patina! It's very hard to find a large set of these especially in such good condition. And, cleaned....so you don't have to. All the hard work has been done for you; unlike so many others listed elsewhere that come to you with dents, dings, cracks, holes, paint, crud, old polish, green spots, rust/corrosion, missing parts etc.  Many are so rusty you cannot even take the knobs off the spindles (I know from experience!)

Who wants that?

These are "red flags" you should consider when looking for antique door hardware.

I don't sell junk. This set will be ready to install when you receive it, even the spindle and set screws have been cleaned. These will add decorative elegance to even a plain, simple door.

My crystal knobs are much better than average; you won't be disappointed. And, these antique crystal knobs are SO much prettier and better- quality than those plain glass imported reproductions you see at some retail stores, with inferior metal and glass with NO sparkle. My classic 8 or 12 point crystal knobs are beautiful, don’t spin in their collars; have no big chips or cracks; minor if any scratches, and feel nice and smooth in your hand. Glass centers are not all rusty and corroded, and knobs are not rusted/frozen to the spindle. I wouldn’t want that, nor should you!  These are all things to look for when considering antique glass door knobs.

Note knobs pictured are my display knobs.  You will receive knob(s) of better quality. Knob interior designs will usually not match exactly; it is near impossible to find matching interior designs; (and besides, no one will notice.) There may be slight differences in color of the glass, ie some may be more champagne colored.  Knob sizes may also be slightly different (some may be wider or taller than others.)
IF YOU ARE VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT THE KNOBS, BE SURE TO ASK QUESTIONS!!  KNOB COLLARS MAY BE SILVER (NICKLE PLATED BRASS) OR BRASS COLORED OR POT METAL/GRAY.  IF YOU HAVE A PREFERENCE, PLEASE ADVISE AT PURCHASE, OTHERWISE I WILL SHIP MY CHOICE.
IF SPINDLE LENGTH IS IMPORTANT TO YOU, ADVISE WHAT LENGTH YOU NEED AND I WILL TRY TO ACCOMMODATE YOU; OTHERWISE I WILL SHIP MY CHOICE.

As with all old, antique, vintage and pre-owned items, these may have some degree of visible wear, discoloration, dust, tarnish, light rust and/or other minor imperfections etc, which is considered normal. Patina and finish may vary from piece to piece. Partially cleaned, but many buyers want the old patina look so I will leave any additional cleaning to the new owners.

These are over 100 years old yet I consider them to be in good to very good to excellent vintage condition (depending on the piece), consistent with age and use; taken off old doors, but don’t just rely on my word or excellent feedback scores, YOU be the judge. My opinion of the condition may be different than yours. Lots of pictures to get a good look; review them all carefully as they are a large part of the listing. Ask all the questions you want and ask them NOW so you have all your answers and information to make an informed decision BEFORE purchase.  I always encourage questions BEFORE buying if you are unsure of anything, anything at all, no matter how minor.  I encourage questions so DON’T BE SHY !! Ask questions now, before purchase to avoid any disappointment!  This beautiful vintage hardware will make your door look special, but remember....
I AM NO EXPERT ON THESE AND DON'T CLAIM TO BE.  I DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT THEM.  YOU MAY KNOW MORE ABOUT THESE THAN I DO. PERHAPS I MISSED SOMETHING, I AM ONLY HUMAN.  PLEASE DON’T ASSUME ANYTHING AND ASK QUESTIONS; I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY WITH YOUR PURCHASE.  AGAIN, PLEASE RE-READ THE LISTING DETAILS, REVIEW ALL THE PICTURES AND ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT ANYTHING.
WHILE MY GOAL IS TO MAKE YOU A HAPPY CUSTOMER, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSESS THE SUITABILITY OF THIS ITEM. LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS AND LISTING DETAILS INCLUDING MEASUREMENTS/DIMENSIONS ETC TO ENSURE THEY FIT YOUR NEEDS BEFORE BIDDING OR PURCHASING.
Age, from research, is believed to be somewhat accurate but is not guaranteed. Actual age unknown. Please do your own due diligence if this is a concern.
All measurements approximate.
Spindle lengths may vary.
I love these oldies; and so will you. Never out of style, this hardware will last forever, and is so decorative!  There is nothing like USA- made antique door hardware to showcase your decor and make your doors look fabulous. They just don't make anything like this nowadays.  What you do find in retail stores is imported reproduction junk.  Don't waste your time and money.  Antique hardware made in the USA remains the "gold standard".
You won't be disappointed but please ask your questions PRIOR TO purchase because, like all my Listings, I am selling these AS IS. ALL SALES ARE FINAL WITH NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS.

SHIPPING:
Shipping shown is a rough estimate only. I list too many items; on several different sites, to find a box, pack and weigh each one, then find warehouse space for large boxes (which I don’t have) prior to sale, but no worries; I don’t make any money on shipping, I only charge what the shipper charges me and any excessive packing materials required.  Some shipping costs may seem high, especially if the item(s) is fragile in nature and/or you live a long distance from Atlanta. Extra care is required to keep the item safe during shipping and I sometimes use a larger than normal box(es), double boxing and additional packaging material etc. Any excess shipping paid will be refunded, of course!  If you need clarification about my shipping policy please contact me.
If you need special shipping features such as signing on delivery etc, please contact me before payment as this will increase the shipping cost . Shipping quoted DOES NOT include any special delivery instructions or handling, signing on delivery etc

THANK YOU for your interest in my Listings!
And be sure to check out all the other door hardware listings I am offering.  There's always something for everyone.

One final note: I personally examine everything listed in my store and describe it to the best of my ability, with my (sometimes) limited knowledge about the item(s). I’m selling antiques and what I see as ‘normal aging’, someone else may see as a flaw. It is not possible to point out every detail on every item. If you are unclear about quality, age or condition of any of our items, PLEASE ASK QUESTION BEFORE BUYING.
