A good quality spoon featuring an enamelled heraldic shield with fleur-de-lis and a dragon breathing fire.

The Latin motto: Dux Vitae Ratio is emblazoned across the shield with a scroll and this roughly translates as reason is the guide to life.

Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1913, marks are rubbed but still visible, makers mark EL.

Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, marks slightly rubbed.
