THIS LISTING IS FOR A DECAL WITH FRONT ADHESIVE (for placing inside a window.) IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A TRADITIONAL STICKER WITH REAR ADHESIVE, VIEW MY OTHER LISTING.

In 1978, Warner Bros. purchased a handful of 1969 Dodge Chargers for a midseason replacement show called "The Dukes of Hazzard." The show was never supposed to last beyond a few episodes. As history has been a witness, we know now that this show has become one of the most-watched series of all time.

In order to prepare for filming, which would initially take place on location in Georgia, executives from WB scoured the California area for suitable Chargers. The first one purchased was presumably bought from a recent student of Los Angeles Southwest College. That vehicle went on to be known as "Lee 1" or "The #71 Car," as it appeared in both the pilot episode "One-Armed Bandits" and the 4th episode "Repo Men," albeit wearing different paint schemes. Additionally, "Lee 1" was the only Charger to appear in every episode, as the video of the jump at Emory University was used in the opening credits during the entire first run of Dukes from 1979-1985. Prior to filming, the crew never removed the original owner's parking permit located on the lower right side of the windshield, as seen in the photos. In order to have a truly accurate General Lee replica, you NEED this decal, which is an EXACT replica of the original LASC parking permit. Don't let this slip away! You might not find another!

Decal measures 4" x 3.5" and is printed on front adhesive sticker stock, just like the original! This decal is intended to be placed on the inside of a window, for viewing from the outside of the window.

Shipping is fast, secure, and FREE to the USA via USPS First Class Mail.
