Originally purchased at the now defunct FEDCO (FEDERAL EMPLOYEES' DISTRIBUTING COMPANY) a chain of membership department stores that served ONLY Southern California specifically for government employees,  was run by not-for-profit organizations. Opened in 1948 the stores closed in 1999, as they could not compete with larger, nationwide store chains like Target and others. (Too bad....my parents spent LOTS of time there!) Selling everything from general merchandise, furniture, sporting goods, toys etc. this pair of LONG BURLINGTON ULTRA SHEER PANTYHOSE in CHERRY WINE was purchased in the clothing department and still holds the FEDCO tag!  Perfect for use, of course, but a fun collectible for Los Angeles department store aficionados!
