Carburetors can gum up and gaskets tend to deteriorate over time, especially when running fuel with an ethanol content. Sometimes a new carburetor rebuild kit may not repair all the damage, so only a new carburetor will do. Walbro uses a numbering system (Example HD-12B) to identify the carburetor. Walbro now adds a (-1) to this part number (Example HD-12B is now HD-12B-1), but both part numbers represent the same carburetor. Hd6, hd12, hd58 fit and function the same. They are NON EPA models WITHOUT limiters. Many chainsaw models have several carburetor options, and many times they are from different manufacturers, so be sure to check before ordering.
