You are looking at an original Still Sealed Betamax (Beta) copy of "Strike Up the Band".

Originally released in 1940 by Lowes, Inc., Starring Mickey Rooney as Jimmy Connors & Judy Garland as Mary Holden, this heartwarming movie is a merry blend of songs and laughter with just the right touch of sentiment.

Released for Home Video in 1985, this Beta videocassette has survived in it's original packaging for 38 years.  This tape has been stored safely in a smoke free, pet free, dust free climate controlled home with no exposure to sunlight.

The original shrink wrap is completely intact with no breaks.  It looks exactly as it did when I first purchased it.  The actual videocassette has never been removed from the original fitted cover box and the original tab is still 100% attached to both the tape & box.

This tape is a perfect candidate to be a graded collectible by IGS, VHS DNA, VGA or other companies that are now grading still sealed videotapes.  Major Auction Houses like Heritage & Goldin are now featuring original sealed Videotapes in their auctions and many feel this is the beginning of an emerging market.
