Comfrey Infused in Sunflower Seed Oil,  Otherwise known as Knitbone.

Botanical Name: Symphytum officinale, Helianthus Annus Seed Oil,
Description: The Comfrey plant is long known for its healing properties. It helps growth of new skin cells and helps to build the strength of sensitive skin. This oil is produced by steeping Comfrey or Knitbone as we used to know it in Sunflower oil before straining.
Comfrey oil contains tannins, glycosides and is an excellent source of B12, so very appropriate in creams for vegetarians and vegans who are short of this essential vitamin. It also contains a vegetable protein and is cell proliferant, rebuilding damaged cells.
Colour: Viscous pale yellow/green liquid
Common Uses: Comfrey is used externally to treat inflammation and stimulate bone fractures It should not be used on open wounds.. It can help the regeneration of skin. It has positive outcomes with acne, psoriasis or eczema. Comfrey is used with sports-related injuries and can help in healing torn muscles, sprains and strains.
Relatively quickly absorbed
Cautions: Comfrey Infused oil should not be used for cooking.
Do not use Comfrey externally on new wounds or deep cuts because the outer layers of skin will be stimulated by the comfrey to close and heal the outer layers of skin before there is time to drain and regenerate the deeper tissues.
WARNING: Comfrey should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding ladies.

We recommend storing in a cool place after opening where we would expect a shelf life of 24 months.
