This is a New, Open Box Condition RARE (I don't see any others for sale anywhere in the World at time of first listing) 2008 Tippi Hedren Roar Foundation "Shambala BOO-'08" Member Cap Grey Adjustable. It adjusts using the material that starts with a V and ends with an O. eBay doesn't allow that word in its listings unless you are the manufacturer or authorized distributor. Every year, there is a fundraiser for the Shambala Preserve, and these caps are part of that. The grey is more of a yellowish grey than the reddish grey shown in the photos. I can't get the color adjusted right. VERY suitable as a prestige gift.
Here is some info about the Roar Foundation and the Shambala Preserve:
Shambala Preserve is an animal sanctuary established in 1972 and located in Acton, California, a desert community 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Palmdale, off of California State Route 14 and 40 miles (64 km) north of Los Angeles.
Shambala is maintained by the Roar Foundation, founded by actress Tippi Hedren in 1983 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Shambala cares for endangered exotic big cats such as African lions, Siberian tigers and Bengal tigers, leopards, servals, mountain lions, bobcats, plus a lynx, a Florida panther, and a liger. Shambala is accredited by the American Sanctuary Association.
Most of the animals at Shambala were born in captivity, orphans, are no longer wanted at circuses or zoos, or are given up by private owners who could no longer care for them. For example, Shambala became the new home for Michael Jackson’s two Bengal tigers, Sabu and Thriller, after he decided to close his zoo at his Neverland Valley Ranch in Los Olivos, California.
The animals are not wild and are human dependent for their needs. Shambala provides expert veterinarians for care. Carefully planned diets are supplied by Natural Balance Pet Foods.
While Shambala welcomes all volunteers, they may not work directly with the animals.
Shambala Preserve was also home to a pair of African bush elephants named Timbo and Kura. Timbo also starred in Hedren's film Roar as well as a documentary known as "The Elephant Man" (known also as "Tusks and Tattoos") in which the elephant's relationship with his caretaker, Chris Gallucci, was explored. Timbo, one of the largest bull elephants ever recorded in captivity, was brought to the preserve in 1972, and died of natural causes at age 48 in 2005. Kura meanwhile died in 2000 at the age of 41.

FREE Domestic Economy Shipping. Shipping weight about 8 ounces. International shipping ok.
I will combine shipping on all my items. If you have a question about shipping costs for a specific mix of items, please don't hesitate to email me for a shipping cost quote. If you choose to then buy the items, please wait until I send you an invoice before paying for the items for your combined shipping quote or you might send excess shipping payments that ebay will charge a non-refundable fee for.
Returns accepted. Uninsured shipments are at your risk. I always have confirmation that I have shipped.
International shipping ok. The ebay and USPS delivery estimates are wildly optimistic. My experience is that international shipping will take 10 - 21+ days until delivery. Only Express Mail has a chance to meet the delivery estimate. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPERS NOTE: I cannot determine or pay any duties or know about quarantine your country may impose on any of my items. Please check with your local post office BEFORE buying or bidding so you don't get any unwelcome surprises. International First Class is the least expensive, but also is the least dependable. Please select your shipping option when buying.
If you look at my ratings, you will note that only 2% of the sellers on ebay have my dual distinction. I have earned these ratings by being an honest, accurate and fast shipping seller. If you have ANY question or concern, please contact me through ebay messages and NOT through the paypal email address, as I only check that address monthly. I will answer most ebay messages in less than 1 day, and all in 2 days.
Local pickup ok on all my items..
Alternate methods of payment ok if no paypal account as shown below.
Please peruse my ebay store 'The Anachron' by clicking on the red icon at the top of this listing.
INSURANCE NOTE: I try to insure every shipment of $20.00 or more by ebay's insurance. Unfortunately, 2012 postal regulations forbid insurance on certain types of postal shipping services to various countries. Also, unfortunately, I now usually only find out whether an item can be insured when I go to make out the shipping label. If insurance is incredibly important to you, email me before bidding and I will try to see if the least expensive shipping service can be insured. An example of the international differences is that at this time, Canada apparently forbids insurance on all postal service levels except Express Mail Parcels. In contrast, I have been able to insure First Class Parcels to both Argentina and Switzerland. I do not personally insure anything. UNINSURED SHIPMENTS ARE SENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
