A tropical shrub with lovely pink flowers that bloom most of the season. Give your garden a burst of color with this easy to grow plant! Growth can be variable from about 1 -2 feet to 5-6 feet which makes a a perfect plant for a wide range of options. Considered an understory plant. Bright green foliage, is mottled with grey, and slender stems produce pink flowers. Flowering occurs twice a year, between May to June and again in September to October.
A mass planting of this plant will be unforgettable with butterflies and hummingbirds fluttering from flower to flower. The perfect addition to any sunny meadow or garden as well as container gardens. The bright blooms can be cut for gorgeous bouquets! Often grown as a medicinal plant in its native habitat.
Winter hardy from zones 9+.
