The History of
... Girardier.... was a master watchmaker in Geneva during the
18th and 19th century. His signature timepieces became known
for their enameling and hand-painted miniatures on the dials.
When Patrick Ulm discovered the rich history of Charles
Girardier, he had a vision to create a contemporary watch brand
that was linked to the Geneva watchmaker. This collection of
timepieces is inspired by Girardier, whose values for playful
mechanical animation continue to be produced...

Chromium Tourbillon Signature Mystérieuse reflects this tradition
with combining selected materials, finishing, color combinations and
functionality. The achievements of Mechanical Timepieces offered by

(Signature Mystérieuse) flying tourbillon, the 1809 Cobalt Blue 41 mm

Signature Mystérieuse at 12 o’clock is powered by a small
oscillating weight, which is not used for winding but to animate
the initials C and G. A rotating component, marked with a rosette
motif, carries one half of the signature, while the other, akin to a
hand, rotates independently. When the arm moves, the two parts

CG 1809 calibre is self-winding, but without a central rotor,
which would obstruct the view and spoil the spectacle of the
mechanism. This winding is carried out by a peripheral mass that
circles the movement. The design of the CG 1809 calibre allows it
to work without the slightest noise. In addition to the unobstructed
view, this results in an equally pleasing reduced thickness. This
rotor evolves around an environment made of matt textures, polished
angles and blued screws...
