Splitter is a soft plastic lure that I designed,
It is a stick bait with missing ribs towards the back of it’s body to create more movement, flexibility and vibration in the tail end and has a thin spearhead pintail for extra attraction.
With the ribs reduced at the back end of the body it’s freedom of movement is increased and when the bait is twitched on the retrieve, it moves more erratically and gives the pintail a wobble action as it’s retrieved through the water.
Splitter has a *Weighted Balance System so when you stop it underwater or when the splitter hits the water after casting it will fall horizontally through the water column without diving.
A hook slot runs along the top and underneath of the bait so it makes it easier to position the wide gape worm/jig hook. position the hook point in the slot on the underside of the body where it needs to be pushed through. pushed through the body so it appears in the top hook slot. now you know your bait will swims true when retrieved. All of my soft plastics lures have our ultraviolet additive added which allows predator fish like sea bass to see the bait in dark or murky water.
Best Used with a weighted or unweighted wide gape worm/jig hook. If you use without weighted hook you must retrieve slow.
If you use weighted hook you can retrieve quicker.
