This is a New in Bag Condition RARE (This is the only one I can find for sale in the World at time of first listing) 2010s era Russian Байконур Baikonur Cosmodrome Sealed Plastic Enclosed Fridge Magnet showing a cartoon version of Yuri Gagarin and his Vostok 1 Capsule and the International Space Station. It was purchased at the Baikonur Cosmodrome by NASA Dr. Juan Flores.
For more than 17 years, humans have lived and worked continuously aboard the International Space Station, mostly supplied by launches from Baikonur Cosmodrome, advancing scientific knowledge and demonstrating new technologies, making research breakthroughs not possible on Earth that will enable long-duration human and robotic exploration into deep space. A global endeavor, more than 200 people from 18 countries have visited the unique microgravity laboratory that has hosted more than 2,100 research investigations from researchers in more than 95 countries.
I have HUNDREDS of Baikonur, NASA, Cosmonaut, Astronaut, Space Shuttle items from NASA Dr. Juan Flores' estate to list, and will be listing them as time allows. Dr. Flores appears to have been NASA's Doctor in Residence at Baikonur for 20 years, assesing the health of American Astronauts and others pre and post space mission while he resided at Baikonur Cosmodrome. INSURANCE NOTE: I try to insure every shipment of $20.00 or more by ebay's insurance. Unfortunately, 2012 postal regulations forbid insurance on certain types of postal shipping services to various countries. Also, unfortunately, I now usually only find out whether an item can be insured when I go to make out the shipping label. If insurance is incredibly important to you, email me before bidding and I will try to see if the least expensive shipping service can be insured. An example of the international differences is that at this time, Canada apparently forbids insurance on all postal service levels except Express Mail Parcels.
