NASA Poster Ten Years of Planetary Exploration
Quoted from this poster:
“By 1972 A major planetary research program by NASA was underway. During the next 10 years, spacecraft orbiting Venus, Earth, and Mars. Other craft flew past Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and probes and landers descended on Venus and Mars.” “Worlds we thought we knew were found to be entirely different and new worlds were suddenly revealed. Those 10 years from 1972 through 1981 were a golden age of planetary exploration – – an age that has left scientists a legacy of data that will take years to sift and understand, a legacy that causes one to wonder what the next step will be.”
Depictions of the sun’s planets and a brief summary of some of these discoveries are shone here on the black background of space. Descriptions and notes are very limited on this poster but hint mightily at the possibilities of our grand adventures to come.
Condition is very good. Definitely has folds and minor deterioration has occurred along the fold lines, however, they are minor and in no way detract from the poster or the implied future. Poster is large, measuring 49 x 39 inches.
