This is a complete 15 volume set of The Sermons and Works of Father Bourdaloue. The books are bound in full leather and are IN FRENCH. The Spine labels for the set read "Sermons de Bourdaloue." Volumes I and II are entitled "Sermons Du Pere Bourdaloue de la Compagnie de Jesus, Pour Les Fetes Des Saints." Published by Chez Rigaud, Paris, 1726 and 1723, respectively. Vol. III is "Sermons Du Pere Bourdaloue de la Compagnie de Jesus. Pour L'Avent." Published by Directeur de l'Imprimerie Royale, Paris, 1716. Volumes IV-VI are entitled "Sermons Du Pere Bourdaloue, de la Compagnie de Jesus. Pour Le Caresme." Published by Directeur de l'Imprimerie Royale, Paris 1716. Volumes VII-X are entitled "Sermons Du Pere Bourdaloue, de la Compagnie de Jesus. Pour Les Dimanches. Published by Directeur de l'Iprimerie Royale, Paris, 1716-1726. Volumes XI-XII are entitled "Sermons Du Pere Bourdaloue, de la Compagnie de Jesus. Sur Les Mysteres." Published by Directeur de l'Iprimerie Royale, Paris, 1726. Volumes XIII-XIV are entitled "Exhortations Et Instructions Chretiennes Par Le Pere Bourdaloue, de la Compagnie de Jesus. Published 1723. The final volume is entitled "Retraite Spirituelle A L'Usage Des Communautes Religieuses Par Le Pere Bourdaloue." Published 1753. Again, this set appears to be complete AND NO OTHER COMPREHENSIVE SETS OR GROUPINGS WERE FOUND IN ALL OF MY INTERNET SEARCHES!!!! These 15 volumes are uniformly bound on half leather with paper over board covers. Nameplates appear. Books show expected wear to leather spines. There is wear/chipping and leather loss to spine ends on all of the volumes. Significant wear/rear to spine backstrips on two of the volumes. All books are clean, unmarked. I will call the set generally Good. Books measure 4 3/8 X 6 5/8. As I have said, it is the most complete set of Bourdaloue's works and sermons that I have been able to locate!!!!!!!!!!! I have located groupings of 3 or 4 of the volumes for $800 to over $2000!!!! I will offer this COMPLETE 15 volume set as pictured and described for the bargain price of only $2000.00 PLUS $20.00 S&H in the US.
