These lithographs were created from a gathering of historical Master Paintings from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Louvre in Paris, The Liechenstein Gallery, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna & Private Collections under the direction of Eleanor Roosevelt in 1937 for the National Committee For Art Appreciation. Originally they were stored and not sold. In 1970, The National Committee Of Art Appreciation embarked on a project to bring these wonderful pieces of Fine Art to the American Public and Public Schools in a series of “Lessons In Art Appreciation”

Each of the Series of “Lessons In Art Appreciation” consisted of a mailing envelope describing the contents, Four beautiful Lithographs of the Master Painter’s Famous Rendering, along with an 8-page Lesson In Art Appreciation regarding each of the four selected Painters. The average size of the Lithographs were 11” x 14”, however, some are slightly smaller. At the bottom of the lithos is the name of the art piece and the museum at which they are displayed. The 8-Page “Lessons” are extremely detailed about the historical period of time that each artist was influenced by along with, other artists who may have also helped in their artistic growth.

This Wonderful Portfolio Is In Very Good Condition For Its Age Of Being Over 50 Years Old! Some show wear from age, minor corner issues and blunting or small tears.
